Yves Saint Laurent New Creative Director
Yves Saint Laurent have just announced the appointment of Hedi Slimane as Creative Director of Yves Saint Laurent. ‘Slimane will assume total creative responsibility for the brand image and all its collections,’ the statement confirms.
Kanye West Second Fashion Show - Fall 2012
Varying in style from his premiere runway show, Kanye West recently displayed his 2012 fall/winter collection. Simple yet bold design combined with intricate tonal pieces rounded out the collection, which was also characterized by an array of textures including leathers, fur and lace. A handful of accessories taking the form of handbags were also included. An edgy and confident theme was emphasized by the models, each of whom had tied-back hair and smudged eyeliner for West’s sophomore collection.

My Fav Looks From Celine Fall 2012
The switch to a modest 30-look presentation in front of a small, small crowd at Céline was understandable given that Phoebe Philo is very, very pregnant. This only served to show off just how focused and terrific the collection was. One model per look, each exit offered up something exciting, starting with streamlined silhouettes with a prep-sportif motif in winter white.

Wide Pants At Akris Fall 2012
One years ago, i've posted about high-waisted, palazzo, wide and flare pants, because of getting sick of slims. For fall 2012, from NY, Milan and London fashion weeks, designers offered such pants and now the point of fashion shows is Paris, where many fashion house presented previously said pants. Akris was one of them who offered variation of wide pants and i decided to share them with you. I love this trend a lot.

Oversize Shapes At Comme des Garçons Fall 2012
It’s hard to write about Rei Kawakubo’s fall collection without sounding pretentious. But the thunderous, ten-minute round of applause which ended her show—people were clapping until their hands were sore, and then some started stamping their feet—is proof of the overwhelming gratitude the audience felt for seeing her raise the endeavor of fashion onto a different plane.

6 Trends For Winter 2013
Peplum
Skirts with a shorter second layer on top, called the peplum, returned to the scene with the parade of summer 2011 (catwalk in September 2010) of Jil Sander (the one with the colorful skirts used with white t-shirt cutting and minimal). In winter 2012 (submitted in March 2011), Giambattista Valli put modeling on the catwalk look in a pink skirt + top cashmere red ended up in the red carpet with Emma Stone. In winter 2013, Burberry, Mary Katrantzou and David Koma (see above) were some of the brands that have invested in the effect of extra leave. Caution: the silhouette achieved with the play does not favor women wide hips.
