I strongly disliked this collection! What the hell is going on? Still floral prints? Still color-blocking? I was waiting for something gorgeous but it seemed that Donatella Versace exaggerated our hopes.
I strongly disagree with you. I'm not saying it's the best work from Donatella, but considering the fact that it was made specially for H&M and also from what I got of the interview, is that she wanted to incorporate signature Gianni Versace details into the collection and not make something surprising. Looking at the collection, I see the trademark Versace, which, in fact, was the main goal of collaboration: to buy Versace clothes in affordable prices and feel like million dollars.:) P.s. Menswear line is my favorite.
everyone has its own opinion. Last year, lanvin for h&m was really gorgeous n' no matter if it was for h&m. I didn't like this floral prints, color-blocking, its too extra n' old for s/s 2012 season.
Of course, everyone is entitled to its very own opinion and that's exactly why I replied to your post. As far as the trends go, I think prints in general and color blocking was still present in 2012 s/s season and yet again, I don't think collaborations are about trends, they are about style and identity of the certain person or brand.
